A POT OF
GOLD IN A FIELD
Once there was farmer who had three
sons. He was hardworking but his sons were lazy. One day, the farmer fell sick.
He was worried about how his sons would make a living. He thought about this
and finally came up with an idea. Before he died, he told his sons that he had
buried some treasure in the middle of the field. After the farmer died, his
sons dug up the field to find the treasure. They worked hard for many days as
it was a big field. However, they found nothing and were disappointed. About a
month later, they noticed some plants growing in the field. They were surprised
to find that the plants were wheat. They reaped a rich harvest and sold the
grain for a lot of money. It was only then that they understood the lesson
their father wanted them to learn.
